Venue details are not available.
The venue for Hike 21 is an old favourite, The Walter Sisulu Botanical Garden on the West Rand.
This hike/walk will take us through the gardens and up a sandy path to the top of the hill overlooking the garden and surrounding areas. From there we walk towards the waterfall and hopefully we get a glimpse of the Black Eagles and then proceed down the stairs where we end off at the foot of the falls.
This hike is a 5/10 rating for beginners because of the hill.
It is also a special hike for us as we are trying to raise funds to buy the club new banners that we can use at future events as well as collecting food for animals in need.
What to bring.
Comfy walking shoes
and Pet Food if you are able.
Please take note of the following:
We have pre-arranged with the Garden to open up an hour before the time so please be there by 7am.
We have arranged two entrance points for people to get in and it will be spilt up by surname - entrance 1 will be A-M and entrance 2 N-Z , this is important so that we prevent a bottle neck at the gate.
We will all meet on the lawn in front of the stage.
We want to get going by 8am after Jon-Jon has a word with the group and take the legendary Selfie.
We are selling tickets at R50pp , this includes entrance to the Garden and the hike - the extra proceeds will go to the club so that we can purchase pull up banners to use for future hikes.
Please purchase your ticket online as we will not have cashiers available on the day, if you do not have the means to purchase online please e-mail us before hand to make arrangements.
THUHC minions will be stationed at both entrances to scan your codes found on your ticket.
This hike is limited to 250 people only, so please reserve your spot fast to avoid disappointment.
It is not pet friendly.
Age 10 and up ( you know your childs ability )
We look forward to seeing everyone there and thank you for your ongoing support.
The THUHC team.
